"The University of Houston is such a large, diverse, metropolitan University that any career in the allied health professions is within your grasp. The close proximity of the Medical Center allows you to volunteer to gain experience while completing your coursework. I chose to participate in the Honors College here, which is one of the most developed in the nation. Through the help of supportive students in my major I was able to find summer programs that help to further my interests in the medical field."
