The student voice is the most articulate in helping others understand the quality of the undergraduate experience and wealth of opportunity to be found at the University of Houston. Therefore, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics selects some of its most impressive students to represent the college. NSM Ambassadors, as this elite group is called, serve during their junior and senior years at UH.

NSM Ambassadors are selected during the spring semester of their sophomore year at UH to begin two years of service in the fall semester of their junior year. Ambassadors receive financial support in the form of stipends.

To qualify, students must be classified as sophomores, and must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA after three semesters at UH. In addition to being outstanding students, NSM Ambassadors must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong leadership skills, integrity, and a professional work ethic.
